Spectrometer

Grating spectrometers are devices used to measure a wide spectrum on a CCD array. The spectrometer is built in a crossed Czerny-Turner system and allows for the measurement of the spectral range of 200nm – 1050nm.

The spectrometer is equipped by default with a 300 lines/mm diffraction grating (blaze @500 nm), enabling the measurement of the full detector sensitivity spectrum in the range of 200 to 1050 nm with a resolution of 2 nm. It is also possible to use one of the following gratings:

  • 600 lines/mm @500 nm – range: 350-900 nm, resolution: 1 nm
  • 600 lines/mm holographic – range: 200-700 nm, resolution: 1 nm

The spectrometer features an ILX 511 CCD detector with a coating that enhances sensitivity in the UV range and an integrated cylindrical lens that improves light collection.

The spectrometer does not require the installation of additional drivers. It is operated using a dedicated Windows application with an intuitive interface that allows:

  • selection of the number of averaged or summed measurements,
  • definition of the displayed and saved spectrum range,
  • adjustment of the Y-axis scale on the graph.

Additionally, the software includes a radiometric calibration mode, enabling the display of absolute spectrum intensity.

Communication with the computer is carried out via the COM port, allowing for easy development of custom software.
